About Me

My name is Kaitlyn Nice, and I attend Indiana University Indianapolis and will graduate May of 2026! I am a Nursing major with a minor in Healthcare Administration. 

My ambitions and values have pointed me in the direction of Pediatrics and Cardiovascular. 

Diving deeper into the Pediatric side of the workforce, specifically in the health field, I took on the role of being a volunteer at Riley Children's Hospital in 2022. This volunteer job has taught me to always look on the bright side of things and to put my best foot forward when caring for my patients. I have also gotten the opportunity to shadow at Riley Children's Hospital on the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

I currently work at IU Methodist on the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) as a Patient Care Intern. This job has given me valuable hands on experiences to help strengthen my bedside manners, patient care skills, and empathy. 

Lastly, stepping into the role of a leader, my Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year I took on the role of becoming a Resident Assistant in the dorm. I have become a better listener, problem solver, and voice for others. Balancing my priorities is also something I have been actively improving and will continue to get better at.
